Board of Directors: Founded in 2011, Catamount Womenaid has a women-led board.

Deb Horton

President & Founder. Deb lives in Deerfield. She is a clinical social worker and service to the community has always been a priority. She learned about Womenaid when she applied as a validator to a different Womenaid and recognized how a small amount of money made such a difference. When Deb searched for a Womenaid in Deerfield and realized there was none, she recruited a group of dedicated women and formed a women-led board to create Catamount Womenaid. Deb has also been a board member for Whitaker Place Assisted Living in Penacook since 2004. In her free time, Deb hangs out with her family, loves the beach, and travels every chance she gets.

Fran Miller

Fran is a retired special education teacher and administrator. She lives in Deerfield with her husband and enjoys reading, gardening, knitting, spending time with

grandchildren and volunteering. Fran has been a Catamount Womenaid board member since 2011 and is proud of the growth of this organization. “As a board

member, I have enjoyed promoting Catamount Womenaid in our area, meeting many

compassionate community members, doing lots of fund-raising events, and knowing

that we are having a significant impact in our neighbors’ lives.”

Cathy Provencher

Cathy Provencher and her husband recently moved to Deerfield from Merrimack. While relative newcomers to Deerfield, they are Granite Staters through and through. Cathy, a CPA, has spent her entire career in NH public service, currently serving as the Chief Administrative Officer of the University System of NH, and previously as the NH State Treasurer. Cathy has served on a number of non-profit boards throughout the years, is deeply committed to the quality of life in NH and is honored to be a small part of having meaningful impact in her new community.

Donna Keeley

Vice President. Donna lives in Pittsfield. She began her career with the utility industry in Customer Service and never looked back. Her passion in life is serving people, helping them problem solve and figuring out a resolution, no matter what it takes. She has been an active member of the Suncook Rotary Club for many years and is excited to be able to assist her neighbors with the Catamount Womenaid board.

Laurie Bienefeld

Treasurer. In her role as Finance Director for Northeast Delta Dental, where she has worked since 2011, Laurie provides leadership and direction to the Accounting/Finance department for the premier dental benefits provider in New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont. She has a long history of accounting and finance experience in healthcare.

Laurie is a graduate of Franklin Pierce University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Management. A Hoffman-Haas Fellow, Laurie also serves on the Board of Crisis Center of Central New Hampshire (CCCNH), a center to assist individuals facing domestic violence issues. She is also on the Board of Evergreen Place, a New Hampshire-licensed Supported

Assisted Living Facility in Manchester. Additionally, Laurie  serves as Trustee of the Trust Fund for the town of Deerfield, where she lives with her husband.

Debbie Kelley

Secretary. Debbie Kelley has called NH home for her entire life. She and her husband Skip live in Deerfield, where they raised their four children and are active members of the community. After receiving her Master’s Degree in Education, Debbie taught at Deerfield Community School for many years before ‘retiring’. Debbie found retirement was not her thing and became a successful NH Realtor in 2012 at Verani Realty. She also went on to become elected as a member of the Deerfield School Board. Debbie’s hobbies include traditional rug hooking, photography, and socializing with her children, their spouses, her seven grandchildren, and her friends.

Amy Harrington

Amy has been involved with Catamount Womenaid as a volunteer for various events since its early days, inspired by the direct impact that this organization makes on families who are working through challenging times. Spending her youth in Manchester, Amy started her 35 year telecommunications career in Boston, eventually working her way back to NH. She is now a Realtor with Deerfield’s Parade Properties. Amy lives in Deerfield with her husband and is grateful to have brought up their daughter and son in this wonderful community. To re-energize, she takes any opportunity to be outside in any season - from mountains to coastline – with family, friends and pups.

Lisa Thorne

Lisa is a lifelong resident of NH who has grown up within a culture of actively serving others. After decades of volunteering for large non-profits, it became clear that the backbone of our state is our willingness to step up for those in our communities when they are most in need. Catamount Womenaid is a local backbone and Lisa is ready to fortify their efforts. After a career at Verizon, Lisa is Director of Communications at the University System of NH and lives in Epsom with her husband and three golden retrievers.
